At my MtF makeover studio near Washington, DC, bridal makeovers and photoshoots for crossdressers and trans women take many forms. Some clients simply want elegant photos in a wedding gown coupled with the joy of seeing themselves as a bride. Others arrive with a cisgender female partner for a role reversal wedding where the crossdresser, trans woman, or genderfluid femme person wears the gown and her cisgender partner wears the tuxedo or suit and potentially takes on male roles throughout the day. Others come with forced femme bride or bride-in-bondage scenarios. I love working with all of these options and helping you capture beautiful photographs of your day as a bride.

Wedding Gowns and Bridal Accessories at Makeovers with Elizabeth Taylor

My crossdresser makeover studio wardrobe includes a selection of wedding gowns from size medium to 4X in a range of styles — lacy and long-sleeved, flowing and simple, full-skirted, and more. I have tiaras, veils, a hoop skirt, petticoats, bridal bouquets with faux red roses and baby’s breath, and faux diamond rings in sizes 6 through 12 for you to choose from. I have nude heels from size 8 through 13 and white heels in sizes 11 and 13.

You are also welcome to bring your own gown and accessories. Many clients have spent years waiting for an occasion to wear a specific dress, and a bridal fantasy session is that occasion.

The Wedding Day Fantasy for Crossdressers and Trans Women

For many clients, the bridal session is exactly what it sounds like — a beautiful bride on her wedding day, with no story required beyond the joy of the moment. You choose your gown, I apply your makeup, and we photograph you as the bride you have always wanted to be. Bridal makeup is often softer and more romantic than evening makeup but it doesn’t have to be. I’d love to see your inspiration photos so we can create exactly the look you have in mind. After the shoot, the photos, both RAW and JPEGs, are yours to keep, edit, and use as you wish.

I suggest bringing inspiration images of the types of photos you have in mind. Some shots may be focused on you and the entire wedding gown ensemble while others may feature the dress, the ring, the veil, and the bouquet. I’m also happy to shoot the entire process of you getting ready as a bride on your big day. I have a white satin robe and pink spa robes for you to choose from to wear while I do your makeup. You’re also welcome to bring a favorite outfit, satin nightgown, robe, or lingerie to wear while you get ready.

I recommend a minimum of four hours for a bridal fantasy session to allow time for choosing a bridal gown from my wardrobe, taking it back off for makeup application, and putting it back on again—and that’s all before the formal studio photos begin. Gowns often have corset lace-up backs and petticoats or hoop skirts that need to be added after the gown is in place. And don’t forget to add the veil or tiara to polish off your bridal look.

See Abygail’s bridal session and Jeny Rose’s bridal session in the portfolio below for two examples of how differently a bridal fantasy can come to life.

A Gen X crossdresser, Abygail dresses as a bride on her crossdress wedding day. She has red lips and long lashes. She tilts her head down as she cradles a wedding bouquet of red roses and baby's breath flowers. She wears a white veil that cascades over her shoulders and a white, lacy bridal gown. She has auburn, wavy long hair. She is backlit with lens flare and a red curtain is in the background. She got her crossdresser makeover bridal fantasy by Makeovers with Elizabeth Taylor near Washington, DC.

The Gender Swap and Role Reversal Wedding for Crossdressers and Couples

Role reversal wedding couples arrive the most thoroughly prepared of any clients I photograph. They have been thinking about this shoot for a long time, they come with more inspiration photos than almost anyone, and they have a specific dynamic and aesthetic they want the camera to capture. From the moment they walk in, the intention behind every detail — the gown, the tuxedo or suit, the poses, the vows — is already clear.

In a role reversal session, the transgender woman, crossdresser, or genderfluid client wears the wedding gown while her partner wears men’s attire. The MtF client is welcome to choose a wedding gown from my studio wardrobe, available in sizes medium to 4X, while her partner brings her own tuxedo or suit since I do not keep men’s attire in the studio. The partner is welcome to change and get ready at the studio, and I focus my time and attention on the MtF client’s makeup and transformation.

These couples often want more than photographs. If you would like a small ceremony with vows as part of your session, I am happy to officiate. You bring the vows you have written together, and I provide the studio, the camera, and a willingness to make the moment feel as real as you imagined it.

Plan for a typical role reversal wedding fantasy to take six hours including photography in my studio and garden as weather allows. If you would like to include an off-site location, plan for seven to eight hours or more. Because these sessions involve two people plus a ceremony alongside the photoshoot, giving yourselves enough time is important.

The partner does not need to be a romantic partner or spouse. A close and trusted friend who understands what this day means to you is absolutely welcome. While the classic gender role reversal pairing is a crossdresser or trans woman in a gown with her cisgender female partner in a tux, I welcome all gender combinations for these sessions — including two trans women, a male partner in a tux, or two brides. Bridal attendants are also welcome and would need to provide their own attire and should plan to apply their own makeup so that I can focus on the bride.

The Forced Femme Bride and Crossdresser Bride-in-Bondage

For solo clients who want more than a bridal portrait, the forced bride scenario involves a very specific power dynamic: you did not agree to this, the dress was chosen for you, and the makeup is happening whether you like it or not. Bondage, reluctance, and the particular helplessness of being dressed as a blushing bride against your will are all part of the story — and we plan exactly what that looks like before you arrive. The forced bride works beautifully as a standalone scenario or layered into a longer forced feminization session. Plan for at least four to five hours for a forced bride scenario.

Please contact me to discuss your vision before booking.

Combine a Trans or Crossdresser Bridal Fantasy and Lingerie Shoot for a Full Immersion Fantasy Day

For clients who want to explore two different sides of their femininity in a single extended session, combining a bridal fantasy with a lingerie shoot makes for a beautiful wedding day experience, culminating with the wedding night lingerie. The two complement each other beautifully — the bridal session is ceremonial and romantic, while the lingerie session is intimate and sensual. Moving from one into the other in the same day creates a natural arc from the wedding ceremony to the beginning of the honeymoon.

A combined bridal and lingerie day works best as an eight hour total immersion fantasy feminization session. We typically begin with the bridal transformation followed by the lingerie shoot. After the bridal photos are complete, you change into your first lingerie look and we have the option to transition into the boudoir setting, which includes a chaise lounge, a twin bed with a white down comforter or purple comforter, sheer netting hung from the ceiling, and a full-length mirror. Most lingerie clients bring two to four sets to shoot so we have plenty of variety.

For a combined session, please bring your lingerie wardrobe, all hosiery including stockings and a garter belt if desired, and any body shaping pieces you plan to wear. I have a small selection of lingerie available in my studio wardrobe but most clients prefer to bring their own. Photos from both parts of the day are delivered by WeTransfer as RAW and JPEG files for some shoots or on the original SD card for others. Please contact me before booking so we can plan the full day together.

MtF Wedding Photography and Photo Privacy

I shoot bridal fantasy sessions with my Nikon Z6 Mark II and professional studio strobes. For outdoor photos in my garden, I may use a strobe, external flash, or natural light. For off-site photos, I use my external flash and natural light. Your photos are delivered by WeTransfer, the default for most bridal sessions, or on an SD card that you take home with you if you prefer.
