Join us for the DC Trans Ladies’ Summer Soiree at Sam Beckett’s Irish Pub at 7 p.m. on July 25, 2026. Socialize with friends and savor Irish-themed food and drink. Don a maxi dress, sundress, or an outfit with summer-inspired colors or accessories and join us in celebrating summer. Dress to impress as always.

This event is open to members of the DC Regional Trans Ladies Meetup group and their guests. If you’re a transgender woman, an MtF crossdresser, or genderfluid with a femme presentation, you’re invited to join our group. For more information about our Meetup group and other community resources, visit my resources page.

Tables and chairs are arranged in a square in a warmly lit bar at Samuel Beckett's Irish Gastro Pub. The DC Trans Ladies Meetup uses this venue for several of their transgender soirees.

Sam Beckett’s management is excited to host us again. We’ve had 30 to 50 guests at our previous events here. Beckett’s has an intimate atmosphere, yet they can accommodate up to 70 of us!

As usual, we will be getting separate checks and ordering off their standard dinner menu. The price range is moderate. Check out a typical dinner menu.

Although the event states an end time of 11 p.m. this is not a hard limit since Beckett’s is usually open to as late as 1 a.m. Everyone is free to mingle and chat after 11:00 p.m. — and we definitely hope you do! Some guests may head over to Palette 22 across the street for an afterparty.

RSVP to the DC Trans Ladies’ Summer Soiree

Join the DC Regional Trans Ladies group on Meetup and RSVP for the Summer Soiree. Be sure to use your femme name and your photo of yourself that includes your face while en femme. If you put in a request to join the Meetup, send me (Beth) a quick note by email so I can be sure to take a look.

Significant others of members are welcome! Please be sure to include them as your +1 when you RSVP. Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can give the venue an accurate headcount.

If you’d like someone to meet you at your car and walk in with you, that is no problem! Just text me, Beth, your Meetup assistant organizer, at 202-803-3231, and I (or another member) will come out to walk you in and introduce you to the other ladies.

Soiree Attire and Makeup Makeovers with Elizabeth Taylor

We want to reinforce the goodwill produced at our previous events, so we expect everyone to wear attire appropriate for a mainstream space. We take pride in the variety of ensembles ladies display while maintaining our tasteful and chic individual style. No fetish wear, please.

If you’re looking to get your Soiree makeup professionally applied, your Meetup assistant organizer, Elizabeth (Beth) Taylor (that’s me!), will be offering makeup makeovers at her studio in Takoma Park, Maryland. As of Monday, I still have some makeup makeover appointment times available!

Bring your smartphones and cameras, and take pics to share on our meetup site. (Please be mindful that some ladies are averse to being photographed so if in doubt ask first.)

Check out some summer inspiration looks from Aubrey, Tiffany, Genny, Allison, and Puja.

Aubrey is a passable crossdresser in her twenties. She wears red eyeshadow and lipstick and has long, brunette hair with a wispy bang. She paired a cream sweater with a green, sharkbite dress that hits above her knees. She visited the crossdressing service of Elizabeth Taylor in Washington, DC for her makeup and crossdresser makeover.
Aubrey wears a floral sundress with an off-white cardigan, a perfect combo for stepping into an air-conditioned restaurant from the summer heat.
Tiffany enjoys a me-to-she makeover at Elizabeth Taylor's male-to-female transformation service in Takoma Park, Maryland near Washington, DC. She wears a flowing, teal maxi dress with a V-neck. Her hands are on her hips. She has strawberry-blonde, wavy hair and wears red lipstick. She is genderfluid with a femme presentation.
“Man! I feel like a woman!” Shania Twain sings. This song is #1 on Tiffany’s femme playist, which has grown to 68 minutes in length. We play her femme tunes during her photoshoot to channel her feminine energy.
A trans-woman, Genny wears a teal sundress. She has her makeup and photos taken by Makeovers with Elizabeth Taylor in Maryland.
Genny wears a turquoise sundress, a perfect look for summer.
Allison sits on a garden bench in a purple and blue dress. She slips her heel on. Grass and trees are in the background.

Puja wears a pink dress while reclined on Victoria's Secret blanket

Parking and Drop-off Location

Shirlington has extensive, free, garage parking on weekends and evenings. Our preferred parking facility is the Quincy St. Garage at 2901 S Randolph St, Arlington, VA 22206. There’s a staircase to Randolph Street on the NW corner of the garage. This garage is just a two-minute walk to the pub and has ample parking on all levels.

The entrance to Sam Beckett’s is located on Campbell Street across from the Peet’s Coffee even though the address is 2800 S Randolph St, Arlington, Virginia. If you are getting dropped off, please use 4150 Campbell Avenue for closer access to the front door. We will likely be in the back room. If we aren’t there, check upstairs or ask the host or hostess.

Lodging

The Hilton Garden Inn in Shirlington has rooms available starting at $156 + tax. We don’t have any special rate negotiated with the hotel, so check out your discount options online when you book, e.g., use hotel chain points, AAA and AARP membership discounts, pay now discounts, or volume booking sites like Expedia, etc. It’s just a two-minute walk from the hotel to the pub! The hotel’s website link is: https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/dcaasgi-hilton-garden-inn-arlington-shirlington/
