Shelly loves women’s clothes, styles, and shopping. For her crossdresser makeover with me, she arrived en femme with two giant suitcases and a duffel bag. Her bags contained nearly a dozen full outfits including jewelry and shoes from three themes: country, formal, and office attire. After unpacking, Shelly and I picked out her first country look. Then she slipped into her bubblegum pink, satin pajama set and sat in my makeup chair while we listened to country music. The time flew while I applied makeup and we chatted.
“Beth is really easy going and gets to know you pretty quick,” Shelly said. “I felt like I knew her for years. Her make-up artistry is amazing and incredible. She knows the ins and outs of every product she uses and makes sure you feel comfortable. We both are big MAC fans. I felt so special and beautiful. I didn’t look in the mirror until she was done. After makeup, I got all dressed and looked in the mirror and was amazed. I felt like I was a country singer ready to go on stage to sing.”

Photo Time: Shelly Shows off Nine Outfits from her Shopping Haul
After the mirror reveal, Shelly and I moved on to the photoshoot in my photo studio. “I was amazed by all the pictures we ended up doing—over 1000 from the entire shoot with nine different outfits! Not only is Beth an outstanding makeup artist, she’s an outstanding photographer as well. The lighting was awesome and the pictures showed it. They look like a magazine cover.”
Shelly loved changing up her look with an addition of a hat or purse or by changing her shoes. In addition to wearing comfortable, casual clothes, Shelly loves to shop for them. “Shopping is my middle name. What girl doesn’t like to shop?” Shelly said. “You can never have enough shoes, clothes, accessories, etc. Over time, I finally figured out what works for me and what doesn’t. It’s trial and error with all the shopping I do. I enjoy looking at fashion. When working in the office, I always take a look and compliment female attire, and it’s always giving me ideas of what to wear. It’s the same with weddings or special occasions. I always enjoy looking at the dresses.”

“I Feel Beautiful and Confident”
Crossdressing has been a part of Shelly’s life for a long time. “When you think it goes away, it doesn’t. I simply enjoy it as a way to express myself,” Shelly said. “I feel beautiful and confident when dressed especially at Beth’s studio during my makeover.”
Shelly said that it took her awhile to build up the courage to go out in public. “Once I realized no one was looking at me, it just made me feel more confident,” she said. “Confidence is very important, and it will make this so much more fun. Now I venture out a lot. Not to mention, if you get compliments in person, it’s a very, very happy feeling.”
When she’s not shopping, Shelly also enjoys practicing yoga, exercising, dancing, sitting on the beach, and watching sunrise and sunsets.
