Location & Logistics
Washington, DC Metro Area: I’m so excited! I’ve made a huge upgrade to my makeover and photography studio by consolidating my Alexandria and Baltimore locations and setting up shop in a huge Arts & Crafts house in Cabin John, MD!
This 2700 sq. ft house on 3/4 acre has so many gorgeous areas, inside and out, for natural light photography plus I’ll have room for seamless backgrounds and strobes. I’ll even have a designated area for enjoying my fantasy furniture. I will have free, unlimited off-street parking in my long driveway and a private, discreet, back entrance. Of course, you’re welcome to come up the front walk, enter through the front door, and enjoy time on the porch swing!
My studio in Cabin John, Maryland, offers my full array of services including makeup makeovers, makeup lessons, total makeovers, photography, and more. I maintain a full wardrobe including wigs, clothing, shapewear, breastforms, shoes, and accessories.
And the location is so convenient! I will be right off the I-495 beltway at the Cabin John/American Legion Bridge over the Potomac River and about halfway between Tyson’s Corner Center Mall (amazing shopping!!!) in Virginia and Bethesda in Maryland.
Transportation: Free, unlimited street parking is available, and I have secure, indoor bicycle parking. Cabin John is located about 4.5 miles from the Metro Red Line stop at Bethesda Station and 1.1 miles from the Rt. 29 Glen Echo bus stop. I suggest using a bicycle, Uber, Lyft, or a taxi service if you won’t be driving a car.
Lodging: The closest hotels to me are located in Bethesda, MD, and Tyson’s Corner, VA. Bethesda is a walkable community with upscale shopping, restaurants, fitness trails, and more. Tyson’s Corner features a huge mall, the Tyson’s Corner Center, and is located on the new Silver line of the Metro.
I recommend staying at the Doubletree Bethesda. The management and staff have taken excellent care of the DC Trans’ Ladies Meetup group at our planned events there and are thrilled to host transgender women and LGBT events. Please note the height clearance for the parking garage. If you have an oversized pickup, SUV, or cargo van, your vehicle will not fit. The hotel is less than a block from delicious restaurants and fun bars on Cordell Avenue including the Harp and Fiddle, Louisiana Kitchen (weekend brunch!), Barrel and Crow, Brickside, Olazzo, and more.
Former locations: My Alexandria and Baltimore locations have consolidated at my new Cabin John location.
