Becki and I had a blast at her latest total makeover and photoshoot. This time we mixed things up a bit and combined a makeup lesson with a photoshoot. Becki arrived in makeup that she applied. I critiqued it and showed her ways to improve and enhance it. For photos, Becki showed off her business woman look complete with a skirt suit and sheer hosiery as well as a sixties-inspired sweater dress with orange boots.
Makeup Lesson Follow-up
Last time, Becki came to my studio for a makeup lesson, and she has been practicing a ton and going out in girl mode on her own. This time, she did her makeup in advance so that I could critique it and glam it up. I was thrilled at Becki’s progress on her makeup skills. I amped up all the makeup colors, and we chose a longer, bolder false eyelash.
Outfit Choices: Fall Sweater Dress and Business Woman
Becki wore a sixties-inspired sweater dress and orange, calf-high boots from her collection. After that, Becki wore a skirt suit from my wardrobe for a business woman look. Instead of shooting on a paper background, we opted for the brick wall and stone floor of my studio using a single light to give a moody to noir-ish feel.
Transform Yourself: Take a Makeup Lesson with Me
For a first-time makeup lesson, I will apply makeup to half your face, and you’ll apply it to the other side with my guidance. The complexity of your makeup lesson and look will depend on your experience and comfort levels and your desired outcome.
You’ll leave with a complete list of your formulas & colors along with written instructions for application. I offer makeup lessons for crossdressers, transgender women, and cisgender women. You can select an a-la-carte three hour makeup lesson or a longer five to six hour session that includes a makeup lesson, male-to-female transformation, and photoshoot.
Most makeup lessons are in-person at my studio in Takoma Park, Maryland. I also offer a two-part online makeup lesson if you’d prefer to learn from the comfort of home or your hotel room.
For a follow-up/advanced lesson, we’ve got a few options.
1. You arrive with your makeup done, and I’ll critique your work in detail. (This is what Becki did for this appointment.) Then we will either update your look keeping your original makeup in place OR you’ll remove the makeup and we will start from scratch either reviewing an existing look or learning a new one.
2. You arrive without makeup, and bring your makeup kit and brushes. You apply makeup to your whole face as I observe and give feedback at each step including hands-on demos when needed.
3. Learn a brand new look. Bring your makeup kit and brushes so that we can incorporate what you have plus add new products from my kit or yours.
