Giselle posed for me in a fantasy photo shoot last week, where I sought to create the moody shadows and feeling of eroticism that I’ve seen in some of Helmut Newton’s photography. She sought to express the emotional highs and lows that she’s experienced in her years of dressing and dating as a woman. We started with basic headshots and then moved on to her role for the evening…
Giselle took painstaking care to get ready for her late night date with James, a guy she met online last month. They’d been chatting regularly since and then finally he asked her out. She meticulously shaved her whole body, going over it twice just to be sure she was silky smooth. James said he would pick her up at 11 p.m. sharp, and she didn’t want to be late. She gave her makeup one last look with her bright, green eyes, brought out by her sapphire-colored eyeshadow before she gave her face a dusting of powder and a spritz of finishing spray. Then she donned her six-inch Betsey Johnson shoes and long trench coat, grabbed her purse and a bottle of bubbly, and scurried down the back staircase to the alley, arriving at 10:58 p.m. Just on time, she thought.
The alley behind her building was just out of view of the casual passerby, and her neighbors rarely passed this way–at least not at this time of night. A parking garage was nearby if she needed a quick escape. Her heart beat with excitement to show off her new outfit and her beautiful makeup. She felt like dancing with delight and celebrating with Champagne. She knew she’d get to toast to a beautiful night soon enough, and so she waited for James…

This photo series only hints at her strength, power, and endurance. Just wait until you see her doing pushups, lunges, and squats!
Jaime had a fabulous time socializing with other ladies at tgirlnation: Bar Rouge last Thursday at her first outing ever! She selected a classic makeup look and little black dress to fit into the cocktail party vibe.
Karen Kendra Holmes leads a busy life so I was thrilled she could squeeze in time for a photo-shoot with me for The Platform Magazine, which will be featuring her in an upcoming issue dedicated to women. In addition to her work as a full-time federal employee, Karen serves as a soldier in the Maryland Defense Force and started her own business Safety First DMV, which provides CPR and first-aid training throughout the DC Metro Area. Dedicated to LGBT equality, she serves as a board member for PFLAG DC Metro and served on the board of Equality Maryland. Karen’s fun-loving spirit and positive outlook on life came through in her photo-shoot where we took head-shots for the magazine and some fun photos just because we could.
