Hi everyone! My new makeup studio in Cabin John, Maryland, is ready, and I absolutely love it! I saw clients Saturday and Sunday in it, and we just had a blast.
On Saturday, I led a makeup lesson for two trans-women in a demonstration format. I applied makeup to my face, and they copied my technique with my feedback. After that, I took photos of them in our front living room and on the back deck and stairs. So fun! If you’re interested in a session with a friend, just let me know what you’re looking for and I’ll help you choose the best package
My Sunday client has been to see me several times over the past year, and she was ready to meet some other girls in the community. So after her Total Makeover and photoshoot, my wife, Giselle, and I hosted an “outing” experience at our place with three friends for a small cocktail party. If you’re a repeat client and want to meet other girls, let me know and I can arrange an outing on the town or in-home.
Here are photos of my new makeup studio. Watch for my wardrobe and photography studio pics in a later post.

It’s time for tgirlnation, a bar event in the nation’s capital for tgirls and those who enjoy their company. Giselle is my date, and these pics are of my look for tonight’s event. 🙂
I’m thrilled to be wearing the new #Younique SPLASH Matte Liquid Lipstick in Spontaneous for lips. For eyes, I’m wearing Hopeful Cream Eyeshadow, Addiction Palette 3, and Pristine eyeliner. I wanted my makeup to coordinate to coordinate with my hair colors! Did it work?! 🌟💋💞💄
I’m also wearing Younique’s
•Touch Liquid Foundation in Organza
•Sculpting Trio in Light
•Eyebrow pencil in Medium

Erica Fremont explores Georgetown with me in preparation for Allison Hannon’s adventure in DC. We learned that even though the canal looks pretty that it’s not really that fun to walk on it in cute shoes. Next time, we are starting at the top of Book Hill and walking downhill rather than starting at K St and walk uphill. And after all that walking, we needed wine! Farmers Fishers Bakers was just the ticket with delicious food and wine at reasonable prices.
Makeup and Photography by Elizabeth Taylor.
Erica and Beth are off to explore Georgetown.
“Beth, dirt paths are really not what I had in mind. The canal is cute and all… But can we go shopping now?”
Rent the Runway. Who knew they had physical stores in addition to online?
Erica shows us the alley to Kafe Leopald’s.
And now to look into the window of Erica’s favorite store, Forever 21. Now she looks happy.
Woo hoo! No more dirt plus Erica’s favorite store!
Hmm… There’s one thing missing from this equation. Wine!
Erica and Beth head down to the Washington Harbor for dinner and drinks at Farmers, Fishers, Bakers. Wine is on its way!
Cool fountain! Now about that wine, Beth…
Here’s our restaurant of choice. The wine selection and prices are terrific!
Now to wander the waterfront.
Time to flirt! Werk it, girl!
The Key Bridge illuminates the water.

I’ll be at the TGEA meeting this Saturday, August 2, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington to lead a conversation about makeup and skincare. I’m still debating whether to do a makeup makeover demonstration or to do a group skin care interactive exercise. Any preferences for what you’d prefer to discuss and learn about?
Who: All are welcome
What: TransGender Education Association (TGEA) Meeting including a Discussion about Makeup and Skincare led by me, Elizabeth Taylor
When: 2 August 2014, 7pm
Where: Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington
4444 Arlington Blvd
Arlington, VA 22204-1399
Why: TGEA exists to provide an accepting environment for transgendered people and their partners in which to explore and develop their full personalities. We endeavor to reach those closeted transgendered people in the metropolitan and surrounding areas with a positive message and offer them an alternative to living in a closet.

On Saturday, I hosted my fourth monthly social party for twelve trans-women and allies. One of our guests, Celia, mentioned at an earlier party that she loved making tapas and thus I hosted a Spain-themed party. We started with Cava then moved on to Verdejo and Albariño, two white wines. Then we compared five Tempranillo-based wines and ended with a 100% Monastrell (Mouvedre) wine. Unlike most parties, I actually had a chance to take a few photos during the party. Enjoy!
In the first four photos, Diana shows off her latest look, which she applied herself after a series of makeup lessons from me. In photo five, Celia carries on an animated conversation with Dawn (not shown). In photo six, Erica (left) and Bobbi got to know each other over wine.

Diana made her first trip to The Keystone Conference last month in Harrisburg, PA. On Friday, she got a makeover from me. We used a range of browns and coppers to bring out the blue in her eyes. We used black gel eyeliner and fake eyelashes to add drama that would carry her from afternoon seminars into the evening. She selected Pink Cherié lipstick with a touch of icicle lipgloss for shine. For photos, we used natural light and a bounce flash with a white backdrop. Diana’s favorite photos from our shoot are below.

Complete with a new spring makeup look, Dawn headed out to picnic with friends at the Washington, DC Cherry Blossom Festival! I combined pale blush and metallic taupe cream eye shadows and crystalline powder eye shadow for eyeshadow and lined her eye with smudged black pearl eye shadow. We finished her eye look with lash-lengthening mascara. We used a lightweight CC Cream with sunscreen instead of foundation to give her an ultra-lightweight outdoor feel topped with a touch of creamy pink blush. For her lips, I lined them with neutral lip liner, added Pink Cherié lipstick, and topped it off with Pink Parfait lip gloss. Dawn added a sundress and bonnet to finish off her picnic by the Tidal Basin look. Happy spring!
