My New Maryland Makeup Studio is Ready!

My New Maryland Makeup Studio is Ready!

Hi everyone! My new makeup studio in Cabin John, Maryland, is ready, and I absolutely love it! I saw clients Saturday and Sunday in it, and we just had a blast.

On Saturday, I led a makeup lesson for two trans-women in a demonstration format. I applied makeup to my face, and they copied my technique with my feedback. After that, I took photos of them in our front living room and on the back deck and stairs. So fun! If you’re interested in a session with a friend, just let me know what you’re looking for and I’ll help you choose the best package

My Sunday client has been to see me several times over the past year, and she was ready to meet some other girls in the community. So after her Total Makeover and photoshoot, my wife, Giselle, and I hosted an “outing” experience at our place with three friends for a small cocktail party. If you’re a repeat client and want to meet other girls, let me know and I can arrange an outing on the town or in-home.

Here are photos of my new makeup studio. Watch for my wardrobe and photography studio pics in a later post.

Website updated with Cabin John details!

Hi everyone! I’ve updated my website and booking site with my Cabin John, MD, information. I’m super excited to start seeing clients this Friday at my new location. Giselle and I are hard at work setting up the new studio spaces, and I’m impressed with how things are shaping up.

My schedule for September and October are starting to fill up, so I suggest booking soon if you’d like to get in a Halloween makeover, a DC 17th Street high-heel race outing, or a fall foliage shoot.

If you have hotels to recommend in Bethesda, upper Northwest DC, or Tyson’s Corner, I’d love to hear them and why they worked well for you. I’d also love to hear your favorite places to dine and grab a drink in Bethesda. My mailing address for money order deposits is still in Alexandria, VA, for now, so that’s intentional, but if you find anything else I need to update, I’d love to hear about it.

I’m so excited to show you all the new spaces and explore my new neighborhood with you all! Stay tuned for info on my open house and birthday party on Nov. 4!

Moving to Gorgeous Studio in Cabin John, Maryland!

I’m so excited! I’m making a huge upgrade to my makeover and photography studio by consolidating my Alexandria and Baltimore locations and setting up shop in a huge Arts & Crafts house in Cabin John, MD!

This 2700 sq. ft house on 3/4 acre has so many gorgeous areas, inside and out, for natural light photography plus I’ll have room for seamless backgrounds and strobes. I’ll even have a designated area for enjoying my fantasy furniture. I will have free, unlimited off-street parking in my long driveway and a private, discreet, back entrance. Of course, you’re welcome to come up the front walk, enter through the front door, and enjoy time on the porch swing!

And the location is so convenient! I will be right off the I-495 beltway at the Cabin John/American Legion Bridge over the Potomac River and about halfway between Tyson’s Corner Mall (amazing shopping!!!) in Virginia and Bethesda in Maryland.

SCHEDULE

July 18: Baltimore location closed.

August 20-31: Closed for vacation.

Sept. 11-19: Closed for the move from my Alexandria studio & home to Cabin John, MD. Alexandria location closes.

Sept. 20: Open for business in Cabin John, MD! See you there!

Erica Fremont and Elizabeth Taylor Explore Georgetown

Erica Fremont explores Georgetown with me in preparation for Allison Hannon’s adventure in DC. We learned that even though the canal looks pretty that it’s not really that fun to walk on it in cute shoes. Next time, we are starting at the top of Book Hill and walking downhill rather than starting at K St and walk uphill. And after all that walking, we needed wine! Farmers Fishers Bakers was just the ticket with delicious food and wine at reasonable prices.

Elizabeth Taylor to Present on Makeup and Skincare at Saturday’s TGEA Meeting in Arlington

Hi ladies!

I’ll be at the TGEA meeting this Saturday, August 2, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington to lead a conversation about makeup and skincare. I’m still debating whether to do a makeup makeover demonstration or to do a group skin care interactive exercise. Any preferences for what you’d prefer to discuss and learn about?

Who: All are welcome
What: TransGender Education Association (TGEA) Meeting including a Discussion about Makeup and Skincare led by me, Elizabeth Taylor
When: 2 August 2014, 7pm
Where: Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington
4444 Arlington Blvd
Arlington, VA 22204-1399
Why: TGEA exists to provide an accepting environment for transgendered people and their partners in which to explore and develop their full personalities.  We endeavor to reach those closeted transgendered people in the metropolitan and surrounding areas with a positive message and offer them an alternative to living in a closet.
