It’s party time! Join the DC Trans Ladies for our Fall Soiree in Bethesda, Oct. 15!

Hi ladies! I know you all have been asking for another event so I’m excited to announce that the Bethesdan Hotel has reopened their restaurant and is eager to have us return for our signature Soiree! So assemble your favorite fall outfit (boots anyone?) and join us at our Fall Soiree in bustling downtown Bethesda, Maryland on Saturday, October 15! We will be having dinner at 7 p.m. and hanging out at the bar, lounge, and restaurant areas ’til the bar closes around 11 pm. Crash at the hotel, and be sure to book using our discounted group rate of $119.

The Bethesdan Hotel hosted the DC Trans Ladies at the Saint Patrick’s Day Soiree in 2019.

At our signature soirees, we invite trans-women, their partners, and friends to socialize, network, and relax. We encourage new girls to come out to help boost their confidence and garner tips from those more experienced. And of course, we love having our regulars come out too!

If you haven’t joined the DC Trans Ladies Meetup group yet, this would be a great time to do so if you are a trans-woman, an MtF crossdresser, or genderfluid! (Men are not accepted as members but are welcome at events as guests of members.) We have active members from their twenties into their seventies, and we’d love to have you join us.

If you’re not feeling ready for girl mode in public, you are still welcome to attend in guy mode. Upon arrival, introduce yourself as a member to the hosts, and we will welcome you warmly. Please consider joining us at the Soiree Dinner in the hotel’s dining room. It is an opportunity to sit with your sisters and get to know them.

Photos from St. Patrick’s Day with a Twist Soiree

The DC Trans Ladies Meetup celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in downtown Bethesda last weekend. We had a mix of new and returning women and started off with a hosted happy hour in my hotel suite to welcome our new girls. Then we ate dinner at the hotel restaurant followed our signature soiree with music, talking, and even some dancing. Giselle brought in a sound system and treated us to Irish tunes, classic rock, and dance music. Meanwhile, I took photos of the soiree focusing on individual pics and encouraging self-expression. Late night, some of the women kept the party going at the nearby Harp and Fiddle til closing time at 3 a.m.

If you are a crossdresser, transgender woman, or a cis-woman ally, we would love to have you join our Meetup group and attend our upcoming events.

Join the DC Trans Ladies for our St. Patrick’s Day with a Twist Soiree

Hi ladies, don your favorite green attire and join us at our “Saint Patrick’s Day with a Twist” Soiree in bustling downtown Bethesda! ☘️We will be hanging out at the bar, lounge, and restaurant ’til the bar closes around 11 pm. Be sure to join us for our new girls’ hosted happy hour in Beth’s suite (5-6 pm) followed by dinner at the hotel’s restaurant (6-8 pm).

After 11 pm, we have the option of heading to a local bar such as the Brickside, or Harp & Fiddle, or another local venue that makes sense to the post-11pm adventurers (if you have ideas or a strong preference please let us know through messages or conversations). Crash at the hotel, and be sure to book using our group rate.

Beth Taylor will be taking event photos during dinner and the Soiree, which will save many girl’s smartphone battery. Bring out your ☘️ Irish props ☘️ and have some fun!

Holiday Sushi Soiree Spectacular!

Join the DC Trans Ladies Meetup in a modern, dark, stylish room with full bar, a kick-ass sound system, and great food at Hanaro Restaurant and Lounge on Saturday, Dec. 8. From 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., women and their guests will enjoy awesome sushi and a pan-Asian menu. After dinner, we will mingle with the other patrons and gradually take over the bar, dancing if you wish.

Dinner: Fun atmosphere. Locally popular and highly regarded on Yelp, and deservedly so. Members of the DC Trans Ladies group and their guests only. Main event is open to all. Important to RSVP here so we have an accurate headcount for the restaurant.

Main Soiree: Starting 9ish, we mingle with the other patrons and gradually take over the bar. Dance. Or just inhale raw fish and Sapporo drafts. It’s all good. Due to the venue and format change, this event will be publicly listed and all are invited, including gentlemen. This change does not necessarily apply to future Soirees. Dress: This is not the Ramada Inn and this is not a “gala,” so do not wear a sparkly floor-length gown. Wear either smart casual/neighborhood bar attire, or something just slightly dressier than that, such as a relatively plain cocktail dress. If uncertain, better to be more casual than formal.

Parking: The municipal garages are free on Saturdays; Hanaro is about 2 blocks from either the Woodmont Triangle garage (on Woodmont) and the St. Elmo/Cordell garage (you can enter from St. Elmo, just one long block west of Hanaro). Park on the street if you wish, but you will have to pay until 10 p.m. 12 minute walk from Bethesda Metro (Red Line).

Lodging: The Doubletree Bethesda is just 2 blocks away and welcomes us with open arms. Free parking is available at the city garage on weekends and is an easier fit for large vehicles (like SUVS, minivans, and pickup trucks) than the hotel parking garage, which has a daily fee.

Makeup Makeovers: Beth will be providing makeup makeovers at her home studio in Cabin John, Maryland.

Beth’s Backroom Birthday Band Bash

Come celebrate my birthday with a fall-themed party at my home and studio!

•Live Acoustic Americana Music by Swamppoodle featuring Steph, Steve, and Giselle. Band will play in our backroom.
•Fire pit in the front circle garden with a s’mores station, weather permitting.
•Fall and Harvest-themed foods such as chili and cornbread
•Wine and beer

What to bring: Bring a beverage or healthy food item to share, preferably in the harvest/fall theme. (No birthday gifts, please.)
•I would love for us to taste test several chilis if you all feel up to the task. Come on, all you chili experts, cook up your best chili and bring it on over! This is not a competition, simply an exhibition!
•Please let us know what you plan to bring, especially if involves chili! This will really help out our menu planning.

What to wear: Fall and harvest-themed attire. Casual clothing is good as fire pits, s’mores, and chili aren’t kind to clothing.
•One example: jeans, boots, flannel shirt, cowgirl hat, big belt buckle. Another example: A-line dress, denim or leather jacket, tights, scarf, and booties.
•We are inviting the neighbors, family, and Giselle’s coworkers so no fetish attire, please.

Who: Friends, neighbors, clients, and coworkers of Beth and Giselle including members of the DC Trans Ladies Meetup group

When: Friday, November 9, 2018 from 7:30 – 11:30 pm

Where: Beth’s makeover studio and home in Cabin John, MD. Address provided to those who RSVP. Park on the street. Parking is free and unlimited though streets are narrow. Please do not block driveways or fire hydrants.

Welcome Risa to the DC Trans Ladies!

Risa came to see me this summer for a Total Makeover and Photoshoot, and she immediately looked gorgeous and natural. Within just a few weeks, she has quickly become a regular at the DC Trans Ladies Meetup events. She has attended soirees in Fairfax, a DC club night, and wine bar nights including Cheesetique, shown below.

Jessica Steps Out

Jessica Richards had a fabulous time at her recent makeover, mini photoshoot, and outing to Freddie’s Beach Bar. She tried on several wigs from my collection and decided on two blonde looks as her favorites. Finally, she selected a black, Coach purse and a cardigan to wear out to Freddie’s, where we met up with several friends from the DC Trans Ladies’ Meetup group.

Tgirlnation Party is Tomorrow, Feb. 21!

Monica Miller hosts the tgirlnation events.

The next tgirlnation party is tomorrow night at 9:30 p.m. at Tara Temple in Arlington. Trans-women, allies, friends, and admirers will hang out in a lounge and club-like atmosphere hosted by Miss Monica. Here are the details for the next event from Monica’s website:

“Greetings, nation. For those visiting for the first, time, tgirlnation is a party for tgirls, their friends, admirers, and anybody else who can put up with us. tgirlnation events are open to all – no membership or cover required – as always, just be nice!

“The next Saturday dance party will be on February 21, 2015, 9:30pm-????, at Tara Temple, 4001 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22203. Thai and Japanese (full sushi menu) served in a beautiful and modern lounge setting. Extensive drink menu.
